Imagine a luxuriously rich chocolate cake presented with a delightful slice of banana bread. This combination offers the ideal match of two exceptional baked delicacies.

Ingredients
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp himalayan salt
4 large browned bananas
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x5 loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2: In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and sea salt, then set aside.
Step 3: In a large bowl mash your bananas and mix in the melted butter, oil and stir until combined. Stir in the brown sugar, vanilla extract and egg. Mix until smooth.
Step 4: Stir the dry ingredients into the wet, making sure not to over-mix. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Step 5: Pour the batter into prepared pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on-top of the batter. Bake 50-60 minutes, until cooked through. I always check at 50 minutes to be safe, inserting a toothpick into center to see if it comes out mostly clean.
Step 6: Once cooked through, remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes & then serve.
